I have lived in an era of Iran where hijab among other factors is forced on women from the age of 9. These boundaries have made many people from this generation have a different perspective toward life, fashion and beauty. I believe that beauty should not be hidden and art could be a way to blur these lines and limits that women face. By studying Iran’s heritage and history of art and looking at the variety of cultures that this country has, I became motivated to create this collection. My aim is to illustrate that Iranian women are capable of overcoming the restrictions and have done it over and over again.
